ANRT Décision ANRT/DG/N°07/03 (25 December 2003, in French): radio LANs can use the ISM bands and 5150-5250 MHz indoors without a license. Amended by ANRT Decision N°08/04 (29 July 2004) concerning low-power devices: "Les Conditions Techniques D'Utilisation des Installations Radioelectriques Composées d'Appareils de Faible Puissance et de Faible Portee." The more recent decision adds 20 locations where the "free use" of RLANs is not permitted in the 2.4 GHz band, including the cities of Casablanca, Marrakech, Rabat and Fès.
"Since December 25th, 2003, ANRT, the telecommunications regulator of Morocco, allows the use of 5150-5250 MHz for RLAN applications. The EIRP should be limited to 200 mW and only indoors use is allowed..." ---Approval News, April 2004.
